TiCKTOC Privacy Policy

This privacy policy sets out how TiCKTOC protects and uses any information that you give us when you (“User”) use the TiCKTOC application.

 

TiCKTOC is committed to ensuring your privacy and personal information are secured. We will ask you to provide information for identification purposes when using the TiCKTOC application (“Application”), TiCKTOC website (“Site”) and other online services. Please be assured that your details will only be used in accordance with this privacy statement.

 

We reserve the right to modify this privacy policy at any time. Any material changes will be posted here, so please review this page from time to time. This policy is effective from 1 February 2018.

 

 

Security

TiCKTOC has implemented third-party protection measures intended to secure information about you from accidental loss and from unauthorised access, use, alteration or disclosure. Despite these measures, we do not guarantee that unauthorised third-parties will never be able to defeat those measures and use your information. You agree to provide your personal or company information at your own risk.

 

With the exception of Credit and Debit card details which we do not collect nor store, all of your information is stored in our database and may be archived off-site.

 

We are not liable or responsible for third party circumvention of our security measures. If you share information with other Users using the Application, we cannot control their actions and we cannot ensure that shared information will not become publicly available. You can reduce these risks by not sharing your information with anyone.

 

What we collect and how we use your information
“Personal Information” includes identification information such as your name, address, mobile phone number, e-mail address, profile photograph, bank details, payment methods, 100-point check information or other information you send or receive using TiCKTOC, via the app, e-mail or other means. We may collect information that identifies you personally when you send us instructions, questions or suggestions. If you use features of TiCKTOC to tell your friends or colleagues about TiCKTOC, your friends or colleagues may receive an invitation to use TiCKTOC and/or download the application.

 

“Log Data” is automatically collected whenever you interact with us, when using TiCKTOC or our Site. For example, our systems may automatically collect your IP address and the type of browser or operating system you use. We use Log Data to monitor the use of TiCKTOC and for technical administration.

 

“Session and Usage Data” is collected anonymously and may include without limitation, all connection and service-related data submitted through your use of TiCKTOC relating to the connection request, server communication and data sharing, including network measurements, quality of service, date, time and location. We use Session and Usage data to improve TiCKTOC’s functionality and features. If you use TiCKTOC, you consent to our collection of your Session and Usage Data. We may use this information for internal analyses and external marketing purposes.

 

 

“Aggregate Information” is data we collect about a group, category of services or Users, where individuals’ identities have been removed. For example, information on how you use the Application may be collected and combined with information about how others use the Application, minus any personal information. Aggregate data allows us to understand trends in our Users’ needs so that we can better refine the Application or introduce new features. We may share aggregate information about our Users with trusted third parties to gain customer, advertising and marketing insights.

 

 

Sharing your Personal Information

We may disclose Personal Information about you with other people or non-affiliated companies to provide products or services you’ve requested, when we have your permission, or under the following circumstances: (i) as may be necessary to perform internal analyses and business functions; (ii) as part of a business transfer; or (iii) when required by law or permitted to protect our rights, property, or safety.

 

We may engage third parties to perform functions for us, including, without limitation, hosting and maintenance, banking, accounting, customer relationship, database storage and management; and direct marketing campaigns. We will share your Personal Information with these third parties, but only to the extent necessary to perform these duties, and only after such third parties agree to legally binding contractual obligations to maintain the privacy and security of your data.

 

Information about our Users, including Personal Information, will be disclosed as part of any merger or acquisition, creation of a separate business to provide the Site or the Application, or fulfil products, sale or pledge of company assets as well as in the event of an insolvency, bankruptcy or receivership in which Personal Information would be transferred as one of the business assets of the company.

 

We do not disclose your Personal Information (other than Aggregate Information) to third parties for the third parties’ direct marketing purposes, unless you first affirmatively agree to its release.

 

We may display targeted advertisements based on Personal Information. Advertisers (including ad serving companies) may assume that people who interact with, view, or click targeted ads meet the targeting criteria e.g. women ages 18-44 from a particular geographic area. We do not provide any Personal Information to the advertiser when you interact with a targeted ad. However, by interacting with or viewing an ad you are consenting to the possibility that the advertiser will assume that you meet the targeting criteria used to display the ad.

 

We may release your Personal Information in good faith if we believe its release is necessary to comply with legal authority (e.g., a lawful subpoena, warrant or court order); to enforce our policies; to collect amounts owed to us; to protect our rights, property, or personal safety of our Users, our employees, or the public. This may include sharing information with other companies, lawyers, courts or other government entities.

 

 

Third-party sites

In general, TiCKTOC accesses third party information (e.g. Facebook account information) through application interfaces. Please also be aware that we may provide links to third-party Web sites, such as Facebook, as a service to our Users.

When you click on links on our Site, they may direct you away from our Site. Please be aware that we are not responsible for the privacy practices of other sites and encourage you to read their privacy statements. This Privacy Policy applies solely to information collected by us on the domains owned and controlled by us.

 

  

Controlling your personal information
